As you Know Legendary Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. Both great at clutch, But there rivals considered one of the greatest players. Next, Decade it was Micheal Jordan and Sir Charles. All four something in common clutch. now here are the top 5 Clutch players

5. Jerry West
A huge legend who all ways shot as Micheal Jordan and even played like him.

4. Magic Johnson
The main man in the Lakers then nothing to say.

3. Reggie Miller
The man is a stud believe it or not he shot crazy good. One of the greatest guys to have at the time of clutch.

2. Kobe Bryant
Nothing to say really just easy Hall of Famer. One of the most clutch guy I've seen in the 2000-2011. Great player and great shooter wow it's fun just seeing him.

1. Micheal Jordan
That is easy to say in the 1900-1998 season he is that most greatest player to live. Not talking bad about Kobe is a great Hall of Famer and all, But easily to say Jordan is a better basketball player. Now Kobe has a little bit of more years in him.

Now time for the talk of greatest clutch play in history now there is a lot of them so the top 5 clutch plays.

5. Reggie Miller Vs New York Knicks 8 points in 11 seconds
One of the greatest moments ever Reggie Miller is great he made a record that nobody will forget in history. Reggie is a fighter in clutch what is the greatest moments in the NBA. Reggie Miller 8 points in 11 seconds.

4. Paxson for Three and the NBA Finals
I'm not gone lie I hated that so Badly I still hate Jordan for that. Rex Champman deserved it way more. It's like me hating Ron dang it I mean Metta World Peace for that shot against Suns.

3. Bulls Vs Pacers Reggie for the three
Reggie is a great player Hall of Famer why not no Rings sad really. He should be one of the greatest Lights Out Shooter ever.

2. Robert Horry clutch shot 2002 western Confrence Finals
The great rivalry has ended, but that series was the greatest. Also called one of the greatest come backs of all time. The Lakers are simply clutch when ever they need to be. Not when it comes to drama though.

1. Derrick Fisher With 0.4 Seconds against Spurs.
Wow, great moment a huge thing in all of sports. every single person in the arena thought it was over then. He nailed it for a shish then ran to get to the plane. Next thing you know Duncan is dissapointed.

Now the Greatest Shooters I like to call it my Fab Five.

5. Reggie Miller
Easy one of the greatest shooters the only reason he is not at number one is Kobe.

4. Steve Nash
That is so true to be Honest it is like John Stockton and Ray Allen with this guy.

3. Larry Bird
Even though I hate him so much. He is a great shooter and the great Three point Shooter.

2. Ray Allen
Him to I hate Ray Allen even though I'm gone say a reference You have to give Credit when Credit is do.

He is a great Basketball player and a loyal to any team you never see that now a days. yes, I'm talking to you LeBron.

Like busted for the drug marijuana. Then getting in to a fights at NBA which Matt Barnes And Micheal Beasley is like a dog fight I was hoping for more action but that does not even matter. He pushed a fan at a Exhibition game in New York.

Then Speaking of Matt Barnes he punched a player in the face. Who knows what the NBA is gonna do nothing what are the gonna do suspend him maybe fine him. Well in the times like when Ben Wallace vs Ron Artest fight that was Ron Artest hitting fans and trying to punch him badly. Then Ben Wallace tried to get him. Now there just fitting fans for no reason.

The times of the fights back the they try to bring back the old days when they hold Larry Bird to punch them. Like all these list of the old fights.

5. Charles Barkley - Bill Laimbeer Brawl
Well Rick Mahorn deserved to be suspended or ejected. Charles Barkley and Bill Laimbeer are one of the greatest bad boys to live and we have seen some of those now Ron Artest Matt Barnes and Michal Beasley.

4. Walston - Sampson Fight
Sampson was a fighting a little guy then Walston took him down then blood appeared. Then Sampson was thrown out for a little bit when he was triple teamed.

3. Reggie Miller - Kobe Bryant fight
This time Kobe started it with the hard punching then went after Reggie Miller a great shooter.

2. Charles Barkley - Shaq fight
Nothing to say but how can a little guy take down a Shaq.

1. Ron Artest - Pistons Brawl
The reason I said Pistons instead of Wallace Because of the Pistons fans and players were fighting. Props to Ron .... Metta World Peace he took down all the Pistons Organization.

The people there are mostly retired there is new people coming in stupid Bad Boys then you have Beasley and Barnes.

Dwight Replied "NEVER.'' Well what are you gone a do?'' asked a reporter Dwight said "I don't know what to do right now, but relax and enjoy I am young and do the stuff I always wanted and explore.

Dwight has been saying he wants to be a laker and said if anybody wants to play with it would be Kobe Bryant. People has been saying in comments good the Big 3 will not be a big 4. What will Dwight do now that he dislikes heat, but now he is interested in the Chicago Bulls with MVP derrick Rose.

Will there be a big trade big trade Dwight Howard and Jason Richardson for Loul Deng and Carlos Boozer. I don't like but it makes a lot of sense Chicago needs great center and let Noah play Power Forward. Have a back up Small Forward see if Korver can take over a role You have Jason Richardson at shooting Guard. Plus your MVP Derick Rose.

For Magic You have Your Carlos Boozer who you should put at center trade. For Power Forward you have Brandon Bass. At small Forward it is Loul also know as ball. At your shooting Guard you have J.J Redick who shots like a monster. As Point Guard You have 2 stars Nelson and Arenas.

Well, for the Orlando Magic you have to do something or the team is done look J.J Redick is a shooter. Dwight is a rebound guy as well for Brandon Bass. That is how centers and power forwards are suppose to be. What would the point guards be the passers not really they stink at that. Maybe the shooters Jemmer Nelson is. Not Arenas he lacks offense, Wait defense finally, but, Another year he will be at a different team. Then comes the Richardson double. Both great shooters but, the difference is Quentin is a deafens guy to. Jason not so much as a defender.

So What will Dwight do Be a Laker or Stay a mgic and never win a title?

Baileyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17446516417418167102noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-26041168628542726092011-07-19T20:52:00.000-07:002011-07-20T15:32:25.853-07:00ESPYsThe ESPYs was today and the best Male athlete was the NBA Finals MVP it was Dirk Nowitzki, Well why not LeBron James? He is feeling there will be a very good chance of him staying another year. Does he like staying or would he like to go to Los Angeles Lakers for a even better chance of winning a title.

76ers should try to make a trade at least trade Elton Brand for somebody better or with more athleticism like Kevin love for Iguodala. I talked to former Lights Out Shooter Legend Carlos Sandoval.

I asked how do you feel that Iguodala Will not be traded? Carlos: Rumors should not happen Iguodala is very talented off the ball. So I'm glad Igoudala is staying with the Sixers And will be a huge part of defense. I asked should the Sixers keep the team? Carlos: It depends who they trade but he disagrees the trade with the Lakers Andre Igoudala for Lamar Odom. He thinks that Lakers don't need another Small Forward. I asked should the Sixers stay with team or trade. Carlos: He said trade for Offense.

So Will the Sixers ever be the same team if they trade or will there be a disaster. Who should they trade. Will the Jrue Holiday and Andre Igoudala need another man or two. What should happen to the sixers team. Should they trade for length or speed. Sixers team is young. Some people say young teams are never good then you look at Memphis Grizzles and say wow. When you look at sixers you see Memphis Grizzles.

What should they do trade for talent like Kevin Love. Trade for length like Marc Gasol. Or trade for speed like Westbrook (that will never happen). See there best thing to do is well trade. not Jrue Holiday. What will happen with the Sixers all I know is you need to play like it was your last.Baileyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17446516417418167102noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-72072630470088562662011-07-09T14:13:00.000-07:002011-07-11T16:02:27.376-07:00Yao Ming RetirementYao Ming Retired after 9 years in the pro. It was because of that ankle that was very hard to go threw. His career stats 19.0 points per game 9.2 rebounds a game 6.7 defensive rebounds. His best year the 07-08 season with 22.0 points per game 10.8 rebounds per game 7.7 defensive rebounds per game.

The one it benefits the most is Houston Rockets. What will they do now that Aaron Brooks left and Goran Dragic is the point guard and Luis Scola. With no superstar can't believe I'm saying this but that is a worse line up then suns traded Hedo Turkoglu and Jason Richardson.

There is some blogs that say is Yao a Hall Of Famer. Well he did carry that team threw all the years, But never won a title or got to the Western conference finals. I think no, but he has a great state line for a 7,6 for height.

What will china think about the retirement for Yao Ming. Will the NBA have less viewers or will there be more viewers. China watches Basketball mostly because of Yao Ming.Baileyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17446516417418167102noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-45100598957628588462011-06-02T17:32:00.000-07:002011-06-02T17:44:09.872-07:00Quick postHere it is my NBA Finals is Dirk and the Mavs 4-3 . Who are going to blame Kobe or Pau well both Kobe needed to take the ball game at the end and Pau needs to dominate the paint. Only reason they got past the first round was because of Andrew Bynum.

Well Joakim Noah was fined for saying Gay Slur getting fined 50,000 dollars well he said“The fan said something that was disrespectful towards me,” Noah said a few hours before the fine was announced. “And I went back at him. Got it on camera. I don’t want to hurt anybody’s feelings. Anybody who knows me knows that I’m not like that. I’m an open-minded guy. I said the wrong thing and I’m going to pay the consequences — deal with the consequences — like a man. I don’t want to be a distraction to the team right now.”Baileyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17446516417418167102noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-61018276016264893702011-05-04T22:10:00.000-07:002011-05-05T16:59:33.121-07:00SorryWow I feel embarrassed what I said about LA the Lakers disappointed the fans of LA.They must make another team. Trade Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom. For a younger players and more talent. I don't think they would make the fin... finals. It will not be Lakers or any thing might be Thunder vs Miami.Baileyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17446516417418167102noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-16690341621818319492011-05-04T16:00:00.000-07:002011-05-05T16:59:53.935-07:00Thinking About FinalsI'm getting mad over these kids and adults says Miami vs Lakers or Chicago vs Lakers. Kobe played like a monster but not in the 4 quarter. Yes he triped which was a foul. You can't leave open Dirk Nowitzki and Joson Terry. They play small Lakers gotta play big but lakers played a little to much half court style. This just in Memphis just lost to Oklahoma city. This seris will go to game 5 possible game 7. So here is the Question of the day is LeBron James the next Kobe Bryant or Michal Jorden the anser is NO. You hear that you Miami fans NO. You now what his a good basketball player.Baileyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17446516417418167102noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-69198866284430726342011-05-03T21:00:00.000-07:002011-05-03T21:03:48.542-07:00LakersBaileyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17446516417418167102noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-52253985206143738452011-05-01T18:31:00.000-07:002011-05-02T17:24:53.374-07:00Weekly BashHey, weekly bash you now I'm going after the non-veteran team the Miami Heat Well I'm at I'll tell you my picks for semi finals. So let's go with the weekly post. Alright weekly bash first.

Yo LeBron when you get a person who has the respect you and chant MVP the time you go to the line. Tell me how much fans love you. Plus when you stop getting treated diffrently by the NBA cause you guys are making money, and you win a title with out help then you guys are good. You arn't gone get a title with out D Wade, Chris Bosh, Mike Bibby, and Mario Chalmers.

Hey bosh get back your braids cause now you look like a alian that area 51 is after. Plus you rebound like a girl. Shaq shoots better than you evan at the 3 point line he is better.

By the way D wade get better dance moves and stop giggling around everywhere kids like me watch you and laugh at your moves.

Mario Chalmers I have no problem with you, and shoots great 3's some time in your carrer you will be great like Ray Allen as much it kills me to say Ray Allen is good.

Looks like the Lakers vs mavs in game 6.I feel like lakers can do it again, but the team that plays Lakers will be a tough team no matter if the play Hawks. My key guy is THE BLACK MAMBA KOBE BRYANT. He will be do great against the Dallas mavs with his ankle. Mama there goes that Man.

Heat vs Celtics I hate both teams but I'll take Celtics game 7 just because Paul peirce will just click. so thats the key player is.

Next game Thunder vs Grizzles but last time I under rated them. I think every one did . so I'll take memphis in 7. key man Zach randolph I think this guy is athletic. Well every one is athletic and young.

Atlana vs chicago Atlana in game 7. I feel Atlana will dominat the paint and cluch times with Crawford. My key man Crawford.
Baileyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17446516417418167102noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-5725763599200870392011-04-12T18:24:00.000-07:002011-04-12T19:04:02.826-07:00Last standIt's 30 minutes away before los Angles Lakers play San Antonio spurs. It was not crazy befor but ever since Lakers lost 5 straight they know no more playing around. people say Spurs and Lakers western confrence,But don't count Oklahoma out of this. After beating La will stuff turn around and have a new MVP or will the Lakers and spurs come out of there shell and beat the Oklahoma and be the Lakers vs Spurs western confrence. things stating to get scary for these 3 teams. Should people count out dallas Mavericks or will the mavs be scary. Can the western lose the finals because of Miami or the bulls. Or did miami under estimated the LAKERS and the lakers win the whole thing stuff getting scary as we hit April 16 2011.Baileyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17446516417418167102noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-65357004245517076522011-04-10T12:50:00.000-07:002011-04-10T13:07:50.548-07:00cluchIf you saw the Orlando Magic vs the Chicago bulls. your screaming right now as Nelson didn't get it off in time. covered so well by Rose able to get away shoots but are ready 0.0 seconds. Nelson having big numbers in 4 quarter not able to make it bigger. clutch man of the day Nelson. Now of the year kobe Bryant.Baileyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17446516417418167102noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-87440868111496914732011-04-09T21:27:00.000-07:002011-04-16T15:35:42.970-07:00playoff timeIt's playoffs and one of the matches include Spurs vs Grizzlies. I say 4-0 San Antonio. Their key player is Tony Parker for his lay ups. Lakers vs. Hornets. I am taking the lakers 4-1 lakers have been more dominate in the paint. there key player is Andrew Bynum for him dominating in the paint. The winner of Dallas mavericks vs the Portland trail blazers is the winner of that series is the Dallas mavericks 4-2. top dog is dirk nowvizki he does well on the paint and the screen only forward that shoots 27.0 points per game. On Oklahoma thunder vs Denver nuggets the winner of that series is the young team Oklahoma city Thunder 4-2 huge man is the most athletic man is Kevin Durant for his ability to drive straight down the middle. In the eastern Miami Heat vs new york knicks It's gonna be a good series 4-2 Miami Heat trust me not a big fan of Miami but it is reality. only problem you have so much talent but no one in clutch now they give it to Mario Chalmers in clutch if you give it to wade he is gonna do something stupid. leBron James is gonna air ball it crise bosh looks to much like a alien to even shoot so now it's Mario Chalmers as thier clutch man. Am I getting punk'd or something you have 4 men and you go with a role player. You know what I'am tired of people saying what the arn't I know they are not going to the Finals not goingpast the second round tey are not going to even get close. If they do they are not gone win cause the LA LAKERS will stop them. Plus they will get there three-peat no one will stop them.

Alright then for some reason playoffs make a guy crazy like indianoplis colts coach always said playoffs don't talk to me about playoffs playoffs.

Next, playoff game is Atlanta vs Magic wow tough disscion Iam gone take Atlanta hawks wait should go for Atlanta Magic seems so solid. Stop yealing at me It's hard disscion no Iwill not pick randomly.

Yes I'll hurry up bye mom wait what do I have for lunch. My agent said go for the ORLANDO MAGIC key player is the red hot D'WRIGHT HOWARD for his outstanding rebouns let's make some noise superman (all so for his amazing dunks) .

Next Chicgo vs Ingiana pacers
Baileyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17446516417418167102noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-13469730009464653822011-01-04T22:00:00.000-08:002011-01-04T22:00:29.938-08:00Some thoughts on comparing the Lakers and SpursLately, a buddy and I have been going back and forth on the Spurs -- who are arguably the best team in the league -- and the Lakers -- arguably one of the sloppiest.

I stand on the side of the Lakers, here, where they have been playing pretty not awesome. And here's my argument: I'm not worried. I'm not worried that the Lakers are losing by large margins to bad teams -- you cannot honestly believe that the Grizzlies and Bucks are better than the Lakers.

And then we talk about their losses to the aforementioned Spurs and the hated Heat. Both games involved the Lakers essentially getting bent over.

Yet, if you watched the game, the Lakers looked bad. They looked like a team that had no motivation, no reason to play, no heart. Rotations were slow, defense was horrible, shots were hasty and not well-thought out and there wasn't a lot of movement on offense, or at least as much as there should be.

But to say the Lakers are lesser of a team? No. Hell no.

This is a team undergoing complacency. A team that has won back to back titles and feels invincible. This thinking is wrong. But understandable. When you beat the one team that you've been wanting to play in the Finals for three years and finally beat them, the chip on your shoulder gets eaten. You don't play with the tenacity that you are supposed to. Even against new blood (the Miami Heat), the Lakers couldn't find their motivation, their reason to play.

This same buddy, recently mentioned, says that if a team doesn't care to play their best in the regular season shouldn't go on to win an NBA title.

Yikes. Someone needs to watch some more regular season basketball during NFL season.

Defending champions are more prone to doing what the Lakers are doing. They grow comfortable, and have a high sense of false security. Yet, these are also the teams that can turn it on with no problem. Even within a playoff series. Let's take a look at the 2009 Houston Rockets-LA Lakers series, yes?

Game 1: Lakers lose to Rockets on their home floor. This looked ugly. Check some highlights:

Yep. The Lakers were outworked. However, the Rockets just looked ... better. There's no doubt about that. Rotations were actually pretty decent for the Lakers, but offensively, they made quite a bit of mistakes.

Game 2: Lakers win, get back on track.

Game 3: The Lakers won in a tough game. All shots were contested by both teams

Game 4: This is where it gets funny. The Rockets lose Yao Ming. Yet the Rockets blow out the Lakers. Watch the highlights, but pay special attention to defensive sets, rotations and shot contesting on the part of the Lakers -- you can't find them? Because there are none. This team was lazy.

The rest of the series went like this. It went to seven games, where the Lakers won by a bajillion in the final game.

In 2009 regular season, the Lakers finished with their worst record since the acquisition of Pau Gasol yet still made the playoffs. And still won the Finals.

I'll elaborate on the Spurs' situation, too. Just sayin'.Carlos Sandoval Jr.http://www.blogger.com/profile/00118965756496218074noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-21633168899633110882010-12-08T22:16:00.000-08:002010-12-09T20:06:33.211-08:00christmas dayBasketball ball on Christmas day Lakers vs Heat thunder vs nuggets celtics vs magic warriors vs trailblazers. alright my picks are lakers over heat because Lebron, Chris, and wade is not a good team. Now Gasol, Kobe, and artest are a good team. plus lakers have to many little guys. nuggets over thunder billups and Carmelo one good team thunder is OK but not good defense. magic over The Celtics is not a crazy team but magic is on a role . warriors over thunder people is hurt plus Brandon Roy and warriors have a shot at the game.Baileyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17446516417418167102noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-81029997906793499482010-12-08T22:14:00.000-08:002010-12-08T22:15:05.666-08:00Baileyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17446516417418167102noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-83800651718489107982010-11-24T20:13:00.001-08:002010-11-24T21:56:40.010-08:00Hi, I'm BaileyHey! I am Bailey! I am a big Phoenix Suns fan and a humongous Steve Nash fan. What a great passer. Here's the thing though. I write a lot. I don't point things at people like Gilbert Arenas. I don't party or say stupid stuff like that like Artest. My brother has an awesome football blog called the Pigeon Toe (starring Josh Wack, Neil Tillman my favorite Carlos Sandoval my brother).Baileyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17446516417418167102noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-9814200026432257532010-11-24T20:06:00.000-08:002010-11-24T20:06:33.634-08:00The Lights Out Shooter gets a new (little) writerIn case you guys haven't noticed, this blog has gone to hell lately. Posts aren't made regularly and I -- since this is a one-man show -- have let the NBA news slip through my fingers.

Which is why I decided to bring someone else on board -- my younger (way younger) brother. His name? Bailey. I'm not about to link you to more information about the little guy because 1) he's way underaged, 2) he's my little brother and 3) he doesn't have a Facebook or Twitter. (Thank goodness.)

He'll be introducing himself a little later. From now on, Bailey's going to be running this ship. Meanwhile, I'll be down working with my crew at The Pigeon Toe, which is an awesome NFL blog. Until then, enjoy this youngster's analysis on the NBA through his eyes -- his little elementary-school eyes.Carlos Sandoval Jr.http://www.blogger.com/profile/00118965756496218074noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-79425465821769466922010-10-07T13:35:00.001-07:002010-10-07T13:35:17.202-07:00Don’t be sad, Gilbert Arenas
Its hard being a basketball player sometimes. Its even harder when you’re a basketball player that was a superstar, and then was injured, and then was busted for pointing guns at people (momma always said never to point things at people), and then was suspended because of his gun-wielding and then came back only to find that your superstar status on your team was taken from you by a rookie.

And in case you didn’t know, that would be Gilbert Arenas’ story. Its tough to swallow, for sure.

But usually, you’re supposed to be able to bounce back from these kind of things. Or at least try. Gilbert hasn’t done either. From FanHouse.com:

"Teach John (Wall) the ins and outs of the game and then eventually go on and move on, and I'm on my way,'' Arenas said after playing with the point guard and No. 1 draft pick Wall for the first time in a 97-94 preseason win over Dallas at the American Airlines Center.
Wait a minute. Move on? What does that mean?
"I mean, this is the NBA,'' said Arenas, speaking for eight minutes after the game and for the first time since barely talking to reporters for three minutes at the team's Sept. 27 media day. "There's few players that stay in the same city. Right now, the city is John's. I'm not here to fight anybody. I'm here to just play alongside him. He's Batman and I'm Robin. When I came (to Washington in the summer of 2003), Larry (Hughes) moved aside for me to become a star and I'm moving aside so he can become a star.''

That’s tough to even read, you guys. Gilbert Arenas was once one of the most charismatic and special players in the NBA. He had a Dwight Howard-type of thing going, with his always-upbeat attitude.
But now, we’re seeing a completely different Gilbert Arenas. To paraphrase, Gilbert Arenas said he hates basketball, is giving up being a great player to let John Wall shine and plans to leave the Wizards at some point.
Now, we’ve seen this guy, this guy, that dude and that other person all bash Gilbert Arenas. However, I’m not sure Gilbert is understood at all.
What Gilbert Arenas is displaying in his second chance with the Washington Wizards is that he needs attention. And not the “oh look at me, feel really bad for me while I still make millions of dollars as a second fiddle” kind of attention. But just that “It’s okay, Gilbert” sort of support.
It’s true that Gilbert Arenas has done some questionable stuff. He is (probably) only human, after all. He’s made stupid mistakes and he has said some stupid stuff. But is that enough to have to be depressed?
It could be.
Gilbert Arenas is the kind of guy that loves to love and be loved. He loved the game of basketball and he loved playing for the Washington Wizards, even if they were a really crappy team during his prime in D.C.
But here he is, talking about “moving on” once he has helped John Wall get going. He says he has “lost all feeling,” and that is something you hear that should alarming coming from a guy as rowdy and light-hearted as Arenas.
Yet, sportswriters across the globe are talking about his behavior as attention-seeking and self-pitiful. Come on, guys. The dude is suffering from something. You can’t pull off a charade like this for this long.
This is what needs to happen: Gilbert Arenas needs support. He needs a boost to get him going again, because if he keeps slipping into this type of depressive mood he is in right now, things won’t end pretty. The very best that will come out of it is that we will see one of the more entertaining players retire quicker than expected. The very worst? The worst you can expect from someone when they are battling depression.
I, personally, cannot stand seeing Gilbert like this. And not because I’m on an apparent first-name basis with him (which I’m not), but because, like him or not, he’s fun to watch.
And for him to not even crack a smile in front of the media? That’s very alarming and very not-cool.
Carlos Sandoval Jr.http://www.blogger.com/profile/00118965756496218074noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-34927902635949188322010-10-07T12:39:00.001-07:002010-10-07T12:39:24.053-07:00This NBA season will have some of the ‘greatest basketball ever said,” says David Stern
David Stern always seems like that kind of guy that you just want to punch right in the ovaries.
And while he's usually a guy you try not to listen to, this might be one of the few times he might actually be right. From the Associated Press:

Stern says, "We're going to have, really, our most successful season. I don't think it's good guys and bad guys. I think you're going to be getting to see some of the greatest basketball ever played."

Finally, David Stern. We were getting sick of you complaining about players for awhile, now.
Either way, I’m going to have to (reluctantly) agree with David Stern here. This NBA season could include some of the greatest basketball season ever played. And not just because the Three Musketeers (Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh) are supposed to be good, but because the Lakers are still in their prime, the Celtics have gotten better, the Orlando Magic are the Orlando Magic and the Hawks still have Joe Johnson (insert eye-roll here).
We should see quite the awesome season, you guys. And competition will be flying everywhere, like a loose booger.
If this NBA season sucks, however, we can point the finger at David Stern and his ovaries.
Carlos Sandoval Jr.http://www.blogger.com/profile/00118965756496218074noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-39198340309379854302010-10-06T17:21:00.000-07:002010-10-06T17:21:35.202-07:00Phil Jackson thinks the Lakers are "behind on the eight ball"

You know how crazy things can get in Los Angeles. When we're talking parties, people in L.A. don't mess around.

And while the Lakers aren't in Los Angeles right now, they're bringing the Hollywood to Barcelona. From ESPN.com:

So far, the team has gotten the promotion part of the trip down pat. They're still waiting for the basketball part to kick in.

"We're doing pretty good in the NBA Cares clinics, we're not doing so great with our own practices," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said after the team's practice at the Palau St. Jordi on Wednesday. "Five guys missed the team bus this morning. I'd blame Pau [Gasol] for that but we won't hold it against him. He took them out last night and showed them some of the sights in Barcelona. So, we got a little bit behind the eight ball, I think, on this trip."
Blame Pau Gasol. Typical Phil Jackson, blaming those Spaniards. Sure, he took the Lakers' squad to go out and party late at night before practice, but it isn't like Pau is holding guns to anyone's heads or anything.

Either way, Hollywood is as Hollywood does, guys. I'm not so sure about Phil Jackson being upset. How do we know he didn't party hard in Barcelona either? We don't, so for now, we'll assume he has.

Oh well. At least we now know Pau Gasol likes to party, too. With those post-game interviews, you would think he'd rather be in his hotel room, listening to Los Tigres del Norte. Such great tunes, guys.Carlos Sandoval Jr.http://www.blogger.com/profile/00118965756496218074noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5945822454888609191.post-72337447963888746202010-10-01T14:58:00.000-07:002010-10-01T14:58:36.902-07:00NBA Blog-World Alert: Trey Kerby is leaving BDLNow, many people have noticed that I'm pretty decent with writing. I'm usually pretty modest, but I have to admit that I get a lot of praise for being entertaining with my apparently-awesome skills.

And while people praise me for my work, I don't get a big head. There's a reason for that, people. That reason is that I've learned and studied the best. If you ask anyone, I model my style of writing after three great writers: Jim Murray, Jason Whitlock and Trey Kerby.

Which is a great transition into the topic of the day: Trey Kerby is leaving Yahoo! Sports' NBA blog, Ball Don't Lie.

Now, I have been a huge follower of his since The Blowtorch. I've followed him around from the Fourth-Place Medal, to his swag rankings on BDL, all the way to his arrival (and departure) as editor of Ball Don't Lie.

Is this creepy? Probably. But I'll stick to my guns and say that Trey Kerby has had the biggest influence on my style of writing as well as my views on the NBA and the world that surrounds it. And I say all of this without shame.

Now, Trey Kerby didn't disappear, mind you. Rather, he's going to work with The Basketball Jones. Sounds familiar, since his predecessor, J.E. Skeets, did the same exact thing.

Yet, this departure is far too disheartening for me. I know that the guys remaining at BDL will do a fine job, but I'm going to miss Trey Kerby, in a very not-creepy sort of way. His crazy analysis of NBA news is oftentimes the most hilarious part of my day, and that is saying something if you have ever lived my life.

All I can say now is that I'll miss Trey Kerby writing for BDL. I'll definitely keep tuned in to the Basketball Jones, but it just won't be the same.

Anyway, good luck Trey Kerby. Hopefully, Kelly Dwyer can hold the fort.Carlos Sandoval Jr.http://www.blogger.com/profile/00118965756496218074noreply@blogger.com2
